How we make money

Quantprima properties are free to read. They are funded by advertising, clearly labelled sponsored positions and, where used, affiliate relationships.

This page sets out exactly how each of those works, so there is never a question about what is paid for and what is not.

Sponsored placement

A sponsored position is a paid position. It is labelled wherever it appears, and it does not change the factual data shown about any provider, including the sponsor.

Buying a marked position never buys a better factual result, a higher editorial ranking, or the removal of a competitor.

Live bidding for sponsored positions

Some properties allocate their sponsored positions through an open competitive process rather than at a fixed rate. Advertisers place a bid for a marked position; the highest bid takes the most prominent marked slot, and lower bids take the slots beneath it.

Positions can change whenever bids change, so a sponsor can be moved down by another advertiser at any time. Bidding decides the order of the paid positions only. It has no effect on the factual ranking, the underlying records, or whether a provider appears at all.

Any visibility figures shown alongside these positions on this site are illustrative relative weightings, not traffic guarantees.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links may earn a commission. Where that is the case, the property using them says so. A commission does not affect whether a provider is listed or how it is ranked on the facts.

Editorial independence

Factual comparisons and rankings are produced independently of commercial conversations. Advertisers do not get advance sight of factual rankings and cannot request changes to them.

Corrections

If a record is wrong or out of date, we correct it. Correction requests from providers are welcome and are treated the same whether or not the provider is a customer.
